On the invitation of Prof. Tadeusz Czekalski (tadeusz.czekalski@uj.edu.pl), I held a a lecture on ‘Brutalisation in Armed Conflict’ at the Institute of History of the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, on March 29th, 2018 (see poster shown below).
For this lecture, I made use of a recent summary of my PhD research, which in turn forms part of my larger, i.e. overall and ongoing Brutalisation research project (see phd-proposal-caspar-ten-dam-march-2018).
The diagrams shown further below may help to clarify some of the theoretical, methodological and empirical challenges facing the multidisciplinary Brutalisation research projects.
